Inaugural Cohort 2022

Our inaugural cohort of Transition Play Athlete Professionals Fellows is an exciting group of women with proven accomplishments in sport and an impressive spectrum of skills, experience, and interests spanning across a wide array of professional areas in work and life beyond the game.

 

Allison Hightower

Cohort 1 (2022)

Allison currently plays basketball internationally and previously played in the WNBA for the Washington Mystics. Allison is cultivating her interest in insurance and is working to encourage and inspire greater financial awareness and intelligence among people of color.

Batouly Camara

Cohort 1 (2022)

Batouly is the founder of Women and Kids Empowerment, and the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Blair Academy in New Jersey. She is a 2020 ESPY’s Billie Jean King Sports Humanitarian Honoree, a UNITE 2030 Youth Delegate, and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

Elise James DeCruise

Cohort 1 (2022)

Elise has over 20 years experience promoting diversity, equity and inclusion and professional development in marketing and communications, including roles at Marcus Thomas and MediaMath. She is currently Chief Equity Officer at the Ad Council. Elise has received multiple awards for leadership and innovation. 

Jocelyn Willoughby

Cohort 1 (2022)

Jocelyn is a professional basketball player for the New York Liberty and founder of the Read What You Sow book club focused on inequity and criminal justice. Jocelyn is also currently completing a Masters in Public Policy at the University of Virginia. As an undergraduate, Jocelyn received several leadership, sport and academic awards.

Kyra Lambert

Cohort 1 (2022)

Kyra is currently playing professional basketball in Slovakia. She previously played at Duke University and received All-ACC Academic honors and a Top 6 Service Award. She obtained a Master of Sport Management at the University of Texas and led her team to the Elite 8 during the NCAA Tournament.

Monique Billings

Cohort 1 (2022)

Monique graduated from UCLA with a degree in Sociology. She is currently a WNBA basketball player with the Atlanta Dream. She is also a Bally Sports South live analyst with the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, a public speaker, a professional model, and a world traveler.

Nicole Michael

Cohort 1 (2022)

Nicole is a retired professional basketball player, a former Strategic Consultant at Accenture, and founder of Slinky Academy. The Academy provides young athletes opportunity to learn basketball fundamentals from professional athletes who have played at all levels of the game.

Nicole Louden

Cohort 1 (2022)

Nicole played professional basketball for over 12 years  in Spain, the Czech Republic, and Israel. She is currently Director of Operations at the Future Perfect Project. Nicole is also founder of Fort Greene Fitness and has an MBA from Cornell S.C. Johnson College of Business.

Teana Muldrow

Cohort 1 (2022)

Teana is a former WNBA player who is currently playing basketball internationally. She is also exploring ways to continually bring light into people’s lives through her passion, compassion, and creativity.

Whitney Knight

Cohort 1 (2022)

Whitney is a former WNBA basketball player who also played several years internationally. Whitney has a a background in healthcare and an interest in blockchain development and security.
